HISTORY
Kannibal Online originally started when I wanted to share my thoughts with other people using the Internet. Since I couldn't find a website that would let me do this I decided to make my own where I can do this.
How did Kannibal become?
well, it started around the Dreamcast® era and the first online game I played was Quake 3! I couldn't think of a name so I got the word Cannibal from Cannibal Corpse and replaced the C with a K because I was still into Mortal Kombat; at the time I would sometimes replace C's with K's thinking it was cool. When SOCOM first came out on the PlayStation® 2, I tried registering Kannibal but someone else beat me to it so I was looking for a way to still be called kannibal. I felt like I owned the name Kannibal so in order to feel like I really own Kannibal I added King to the name. It was meant to be used as being above any other kannibal I came across!. I have such a LONG history with the gamertag Kannibal that it has become part of WHO I am and WHAT I do...I even call myself Arthur Kannibal in some situations rather than my regular last name!
Here is a list of variations I have used for the name as well as the origin:
-Kannibal - Quake 3
-KingKannibal - SOCOM
-Kannibalizer - custom webpage extension such as steam community.com/id/kannibalizer
-Kingkannibalizer - Various games
-Kannibal666 - Pawngame.com
there was a time where I wanted to assemble a group of people to wear these names but it never happened because then I would loose my identity!
SIDE STORY:
There was a time where I wanted to produce music and I didn't want to use kannibal. Instead I tried making a name sound as foreign as possible. I thought about the name Ganondorf from The Legend of Zelda series and put it together with Grind as in grinding flesh and bones. The outcome was Grindorf. Many of my friends would pronounce it as Grin-dorf and I would have to correct them by telling them it's pronounced Grind-dorf. Of course there was times where people would tease me with Grind-DWARF because of my stature. When I started going by this name socially, I would add DJ to grindorf because it was my music production name. I haven't went by this name since mid '09 because I shelved music composing and producing all together for another time.
